National Jubilee Pilgrimage of Hope (September 2025)’Compassion, Faith, Prayer & Community’

Thus says the Lord:
Stand at the crossroads, and look,
and ask for the ancient paths,

where the good way lies: and walk in it,
and find rest for your souls.
Jeremiah 6:16

The National Jubilee Pilgrimage of Hope, is a national walking pilgrimage: an initiative of the ‘Hearts in Search of God’ project. There are four main Evangelist entitled Ways, each starting at the Catholic cathedrals in Cardiff (St Matthew) Leeds (St Mark), Norwich (St Luke) and London (St John), blessing our nations with the Sign of the Cross. Those walking the Ways will converge at the Cathedral of St Barnabas, Nottingham, on Saturday 13 September 2025, the eve of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

St Mark’s Way links the dioceses of Leeds, Hallam and Nottingham. The Diocese of Hallam was created from the Dioceses of Leeds and Nottingham on May 30th 1980. It will set off from St Anne’s Cathedral Leeds on September 6th 2025.

• Opening the church for prayer and the parish hall for simple hospitality eg tea/coffee and toilet access
• Helping to transport the 4 – 6 perpetual pilgrims’ rucksacks from the start to the end of the day’s walk by car.
• Help with finding accommodation for the 4 – 6 ‘perpetual pilgrims’ who will travel from Leeds to Nottingham.
